They had first implemented SSRPM so their users would have the ability to reset their own passwords and no longer needed to contact the help desk. Tools4ever’s UMRA took the stress out of account creation and management for the over 200,000 users at Pinellas. The IT department is now able to create an account one time in Active Directory, and it is automatically populates the parent portal, Focus student information system and any other system necessary. UMRA also resolved security issues that Pinellas experienced when people who did not work for the school such as parents and volunteers, needed access to the systems. These types of users are required to enter a license, passport, or ID number as identification at the school. Previously, people would provide incorrect or false information. Now UMRA is set up to validate that the required information exists before the person can gain access, greatly improving security.
